Intel and Yahoo! envision embedded internet TV {Engadget}
Aug 20th 2008 4:21PM Before getting too happy with it... Have you thought about what kind of craptafic and overabundant advertising this could force you to watch? If folks worry about cookies in a browser, this will blow their mind.

Aug 20th 2008 2:31PM No subscription no way.
I do not like it and it would lead to higher purchase prices to try and force users to subscribe vs purchase.
Archos 5, 5g and 7 "internet media tablets" are here to slap your puny PMP upside the head {Engadget}
Aug 19th 2008 2:02PM I am damned tired of companies "releasing" info about a new product without pricing or availability. They throw out a bone to see how the public reacts: if good, higher price; if bad lower price. If you don't know how you want to sell it, don't release info yet!

Aug 19th 2008 10:53AM Regarding the graphics, I am wondering how much of a resources hit we will take for the new Wrath graphics. I have not read anywhere whether Blizz has a new trick up their sleeve to get better graphics and models without a an extra hit due to new efficient methods, or if we will notice slower framerates if we keep our graphics quality set like they are currently.
Has anyone seen any info from Blizzard about what we can expect with this?
Toshiba stubbornly launches the un-Blu-ray, XD-E500 DVD player {Engadget HD}
Aug 18th 2008 5:16PM Hell, I saw go for it Toshiba.
You take some of those lined up in the WalMart aisle at XMas for probably $99 (by then) compared to a BluRay player for MAYBE $299 and what do you think most Christmas shoppers will buy? I am not saying it is better by any means, just that consumers always vote with their wallet!

Slacker G2 WiFi radio gets more personal thanks to the FCC {Engadget}
Aug 14th 2008 9:51AM So anybody using one of the current models? The idea seems nice for rural areas with poor choice of radio, but the $199 price seems a bit high for what it does. I also did not like the fact that I could only skip 6 songs per hour (damn you DMCA!).
Drop the price a little and bring in some Mac support so I can take it between my machines and then they may have a deal!
