@NoBox Don't forget the hours of low-level hovering that some helis do.
@Snelpiller You'd would want this any time your engine, transmission, or tail rotor fails and you are flying too low and slow to perform a proper autorotation. The idea is to keep your main rotor spinning at the same speed. If you can't quite manage that because you don't have the time to recover before you land, then that is probably where these airbags come in.
Why would I want XP on such a small device, again? Is it something to do with the inadequacies of Windows Mobile?
First time I've seen it from the side. A bit chunkier than I was expecting. Hope it's not too heavy.
A pity the GUI is still an eye-sore.
For all intents and purposes, it's not a jet engine. It's a gas turbine. A jet engine is a gas turbine that uses the exhaust thrust for propulsion. This doesn't do that. Are gas turbines not interesting enough to use the correct terms?
12MP for such a small sensor and lens? I think I'll be sticking with my plans for a Canon S90.
I don't understand why the editors don't hide more of the obvious crap -- perhaps they just don't have the time? Editorial control on many sites can be a good thing. Leaving the site more open and "free" often just means pages of comments that aren't worth reading. YouTube is the perfect example of this, even with it's moderation system.
MS may have had this idea for a while (and it's such an obvious step, especially for Apple, that I doubt Apple copied it from MS), but I have yet to see any of those MS mice in the market for me to actually buy, so Apple can keep their claim of being first, I say.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
