Joystiq, I think it's time to start a new site called "Amazon Recommendations Fanboy". Clearly these hot news items about gaming-related peripherals being recommended to Amazon shoppers deserve their own site, if not their own Internet.
These comments illustrate the average 'net savvy gamer's mentality towards illegal downloading: They don't care. As long as they can get it, they will do so, and they'll swallow any rationalization they can find to make themselves feel better about it.

"I should be able to try before I buy."
"They've made us wait this long-- I deserve it for free!"
"The developers should just be happy they were able to make it."
"The developers should just be happy I'm willing to play it."
"I would never have bought the game anyway."

No matter how hard you argue with these morons about piracy, they will never listen. Anime fans are the absolute worst about it, and most of the anime fans that play games play Final Fantasy. It's no surprise that Square Enix nearly cancelled the North American release of Advent Children due to piracy.
Yes, Raparat, numerous people use Joystiq as a news source about gaming. Just as numerous people use Engadget as a news source about gadgets. That's why AOL owns and operates both sites.
I don't care how slow a news day it is-- on what planet does "Some Guy Posts His Opinion On His Blog" quality as newsworthy?
I read somewhere earlier that the movie will be Lords of Dogtown. Gonna try and dig up the link to where I saw that...
I was pretty surprised to hear that Mr. Summa had been terminated-- seems a bit too harsh a response to what wasn't that big of an issue. Then I read his post as Destructoid. Totally classless and immature. I've written for plenty of game news sites in the past and have worked with enough guys like that to know that getting rid of him was a good call.

Remember, Joystiq has a pretty small staff. If one member of the staff is an egomaniacal jackass who thinks he's too good for his job, it's going to be a real problem for the other members of the staff. Imagine if someone like that were on your team at your own job, except that there are only six people total at your workplace. Working with this guy everyday? Hell, you'd be looking for a reason to replace him. Mr. Summa just happened to give one away.
Joystiq folks, do you even believe your own speculation on this story? Why the hell would Nintendo ship the Wii before the games are ready?
Man, that's gonna be one hot event. How do you steam an entire briefing? Leave it to the creators of Cooking Mama to find that answer.
Tim Buckley being shot in the face will always, always get my vote.
One slot for $10? Is that $10 a month or $10 flat? If the former, it seems kinda high.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
