Getting this console would be a nice way to get back to playing Mass Effect after having my 360 stolen during a break-in.

Blu-ray reads just fine compared to DVD read times."

You know how to read that chart, don't you? Blu Ray's speed at 2x is about as fast as the 12x DVD's SLOWEST read speed, and only half the speed of its fastest read speed.

I don't know how you can say that seems "just fine" at all.
So they're going to go ahead with their plan to make the PS3 SKU the lead platform on all future games then? While it'll make sure the PS3 sees a simultaneous release, is giving the 360 an artificial delay that way really serving the best interest of their customers?
Oops - of course I meant "nothing but demos" not just demos, as it also has a slew of demos on the disc.
Are you guys even going to bother correcting your articles about how 360 Arcade includes demos, when clearly it doesn't?

I have to wonder how anyone would actually unbox one and try out the games, yet fail to notice they're the full games. Seems like the kind of thing that's almost impossible to screw up on, isn't it?
It's not really a "full scale online community" either - it's limited lobbies. What's the max...64 people? It's more like an upgraded Phantasy Star Online lobby, minus the combat, than a MMO or anything of the sort.
While my addiction to Magic will attest to my love of a card-base game, I just can't understand the appeal of this one - to me it's more oddity than sensation.

Having to set up the camera, and a surface for your cards, really doesn't seem to fit with the way I play - sitting or lying on the couch.

Besides, part of the joy of Magic is sitting around the table with friends. Gaming online, especially in the almost always silent PSN atmosphere, just doesn't seem to carry the same enjoyment.
No replay? No atmosphere? No sales?

You're wrong on all three. Haven't played the game at all, huh?

Madden will outsell it though, no doubt about that. They could package a piece of dog crap and sell a good million, million and a half units to the casuals.
My favourite part, and the part I thought should have ended the movie, is when Leonidas stands up, faces back towards the wife he left behind. The silhouette of him in front of the Hot Gates as the arrows come arching in would have been a great way to end the movie.
"How fast does BR need to be when it can load the the HDD and stream? Whoops the 360 can't. HDD streaming not allowed."

HDD caching/streaming is allowed on the 360, several games use it - Oblivion for one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
