Dear God, that's sarcasm, right?
Unfortunately for Microsoft, that figure includes all home entertainment sales, including Xbox products. The Zune was a small fraction of those earnings, if not a loss. They just waited far too long to get in the game. A couple years earlier and they could have really taken on the iPod.
I'm a Mac user and I'm not conceited or smug in the least. Even though I have every reason to be.
Um, if you mean it has a keyboard, integrated webcam, and a fold-down screen, then yeah. Otherwise, not sure how you can say this looks like a Macbook. And I'm an Apple fanboy.

Nice work, Dell. If only you'd realized that spending a little bit of money on nice designs can help move hardware a little sooner. Maybe you wouldn't be worth only a third of Apple now (see? told you I'm a fanboy).
$699? For a PHONE? Fully SUBSIDIZED? That's got to be the most expensive phone in the world and it doesn't have a keyboard, which makes it not very good for business customers.
I did try one. Nice player, but way too thick.
Of course I COULD fit a Zune in my pocket, but why bother when the 30GB ipod does it even more comfortably? I could stuff my cordless phone in my pocket if I wanted to, doesn't mean I want to walk around with it in there all day. Even if it did impress the ladies...
Just don't let Eddie Griffin use it. He'd crash it in ten seconds.
@ Marshall:

True, but the wifi connection would work great.

@ Bryan T:

The apps will most likely be installed via iTunes, similar to how games are loaded onto an iPod.
Don't know if you've ever used Google Maps before, but you can store your home address.

Guess what guys, if you hate Apple you're a fanboy too. I buy what I perceive to be the best piece of hardware for the task. That's why I have a Macbook Pro, an Xbox 360, and a Tivo. Not liking a cool gadget because of who makes it is hilarious. If Hitler came out with a good cell phone, I'd buy it.

Oh, and the iPhone ads are perfect. The thing is going to sell like hotcakes. I can't wait for the first pencilneck to exclaim, "my TreoBerry 3500 already does that" when I pull mine out.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
