I want to win...
might as well try...
My thoughts exactly...kind of redundant. I don't like the touch screen keyboard. Its one of the reasons I put off buying the iPhone in favor of this phone.
I don't get all the bitterness surrounding this phone. Just because you like or use an iPhone doesn't mean that you are obligated to hate and troll against the G1. Different phones appeal to different people-it doesn't mean that one is any better or worse than the other. Its just another option-it doesn't have to be an 'iPhone killer.
I think that for most people this phone will be more than enough. Most people really just want a phone with a big screen and 'real' internet and data at an affordable price and the G1 will deliver that. I'm not trying to replace my iPod here-I'm not going to watch movies on this phone. I'm probably not even going to listen to music on it ( have songs on my current phone that I have NEVER played). I just surf the web when I'm waiting for the train or bored somewhere.
With ATT it would have cost me over a hundred bucks a month to get kind of plan and add-ons that I currently have with t-mobile. I'm not anti iPhone by any means but for what I want to do with a phone it makes sense to go this route.
I've already pre-ordered mine and I can't wait to get it.
I'm really excited about this phone...please let it be great! Its either this or the iphone and I'd rather stick with tmobile.
man...I would be looking at a minimum of 100 bucks a month to get a plan equivalent to what I have now for 65 bucks a month. Suddenly I'm not so eager to get this phone...
I love me some Microsoft Office!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
