The Plan was such an unfortunate let-down. The comment about it feeling like a bunch of deleted scenes is right on the money - while it fleshed out some background details, I mainly sat there thinking "what's the point of this?" while watching. I was hoping that they would at least flesh out some of the further-back details: who the 7 models were based on; how Cavil inserted the 5 so far back before the start of the series; how he made the other models forget who the 5 were, etc. Instead we got a story that starts just before the attack on the colonies and ends before the end of season two, less than halfway into the series.
Isn't part of the point of buying a Mac that, unlike a PC, there is a controlled hardware system to go with the OS that should mitigate against unknown factors with OS releases?

I think part of what's so frustrating about the SL issues (I have had issues on my Mac Pro though not my Macbook) is that a release touted as having so little new features so that it could increase overall stability has actually done the opposite and created problems.
I don't get why Clark is now wearing a black outfit while running around known as the "Red Blue Blur"? Will they start calling him the "Black Blur" now?
Is a black outfit really the way to go for someone dubbed "The Red-Blue Blur"?
What happens when you're using a nav program on your iPhone, coming up on an interchange, and you get a phone call?
The App Store submission process has always driven me crazy. I've received rejections on apps where simpler apps have been accepted. I've received rejections on free apps where paid versions with the exact same functionality were rejected. And every time I've received a rejection, I've resubmitted the EXACT SAME binary and it has been accepted for sale.

I find it funny that TUAW felt the need to respond to a Windows ad like it's some sort of "Mac" attack. The commercial set it up well - she wanted a 17" laptop for under $1000. There is no Mac that fits this.

OF COURSE the laptop she bought doesn't compare to the MacBook Pro. That wasn't the point. The MacBook Pro isn't available in a lower-end version for under $1000 that retains a 17" screen.

I'm a Mac user, but this commercial rang true to me from an experience I had last week. My father-in-law wanted a laptop (his first) so we went looking at Macs and PCs. The reality is that for less than the cost of the $999 entry-level MacBook (though not a lot less), there are PC laptops with larger screens, more memory, more storage, and as-fast processors.

In the end, he went with the $999 MacBook because he liked the 13" form factor for portability and not having the same malware risks. But he wasn't fooling himself - the Mac cost more for less because it was a Mac.
Or at least the size of a standard hardcover book page!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
