That's cool, but I'm waiting for true, single purpose, SATA SDDs. They serve the same purpose inside your PC, but SSDs are prob gonna be cheaper. I wanna put on in my iMac
Banks, are you serious? FF 10 was so much better than 8 and nine were. And have you played 12 yet? Granted 11 didn't excite me too much, but this series is still amazing! Don't miss out. I'm holding on to the little hope there is of them putting 13 on the 360 so I don't have to buy a PS3.
It is true. WiFi, cordless phones, BT headsets are all harmful to humans and animals (some are a lot more sensitive than other.) As a matter of fact, when AM radio was first broadcast, there were many cases of people becoming ill due to their transmission. In order to help, we'd have to do away with most radio transmission (which is never gonna happen, obv.) Where were these people in the 80's when we started using cordless? Now these techs are too much a part of our lifestyle to do anything about. Most of all, singeing out WiFi is retarded.

(do primary/secondary schools really have WiFi? That doesnt seem to productive anyway, does it?)
This could be very, very good. The Apple TV is a great piece of hardware, that is crippled by its software. Let me use another piece of hardware to illustrate. When (awesome) hackers installed linux on the OG xbox, it enabled it to run XBMC (xbox media center.) XBMC, is awesome. It can use the xboxs hardware to stream movies of ANY FORMAT (xvid, divx, mp2, kvcd, qt, even DVD ISOs) and play them on your TV. Now this is simply awesome. MS, Apple etc. has no vested interest in making a box that'll play all your movies, it only wants to make a box that'll play the movies you buy from THEM, rendering your other movies useless. Its situations like these which should make consumers glad there is such a thriving linux scene, and also thankful for hackers/coders that make software that meets our needs. XBMC has been around for years, and has been the perfect solution for many people. Not to mention the cheapest! $180 for a fully functional media center, that works better and is more capable than most/all other options , simple incredible. I didn't mean for this to be such a rant, but I think we should all sing the Budweiser 'Real men of genius" song right now, and toast the scene that gives consumers products/hacks the big businesses won't, often for free. Atv has the potential to be the HD, HDMI, updated version of XBMC.
Don' miss out on this classic b/c of the menu screen, its quick, simple fun with a few other people. I checked it out this AM, and I'm gonna play online with people from work later on, im psyched!
John, how long have you lived in NYC? I've had quite a few cabbies 'claim' they didnt know where they were going. then again, they very well may have, but wanted to plead ignorance so they can jack up the meter.
Can you play w/ your friends, or did hey disable that, and make you play with randoms for the demo?
Gadgets,
$hit, I was under the impression it filtered at least chlorine. Any other options that you would recommend?
I think the water vapor that you inhale is the main culprit. That's how most pollutants get into your system. Wether that means 30% less water is better for you, who knows. I got a shower filter from New Wave Enviro (i think) for like $40 bucks, and would never wanna shower without it. Take all the garbage out beforehand. Im in NYC and we have disgusting water, despite what many will tell you.
Jay, heavy sarcasm there. I was poking fun at a statement Krazy Ken (PS Boss man) made. He said something to the effect of 'ps3 will last two console cycles, 10 years'
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
