Poll: Will the DROID have you in its clutches? {Engadget}

Nov 6th 2009 5:26PM Ditto that. Got mine at lunch today. I'm surprised at how solid it feels! I've been distracted by it all afternoon though. I should be doing work but I can't quit messing with it.

Nov 6th 2009 9:17AM "Will someone please sue AT&T and sprint and verizon and t-mobile for constantly marketing internet access as 'UNLIMITED""

Technically, all you have to do is go over the limits... wait for the bill... then go to court to get the laws changed. Until someone contests it, it can only be a class action which doesn't get as much traction in the law changing arena if I understand correctly.

Nov 6th 2009 9:05AM Depends on what competition you are talking about... handset competition or provider competition. In fact, there is competition in the networks they provide opposed to the transferability of phones (you even said it yourself, there are 4 and another incoming...) There IS competition. It's just not the kind YOU like.

Nov 5th 2009 4:03PM "Wow...!!! don’t be so closed minded."

I'm not close minded. I just argued the opposite point. If you never leave or have plans to leave said country, there's no need to get a world phone. People have different opinions and needs.

Apparently this is story to post all your hate for this phone because it doesn't fit your one niche need. (be it "ugly", not a world phone, or it has a copper accent) The fact of the matter is, this appeals to a great many people. If you don't like it, there are literally hundreds of other choices (and even a GSM version of this one in the pipe.) So what's the point? Choose another phone and move on.

Nov 5th 2009 3:12PM If you never leave said country (or have plans to) and you like the service... why does it matter? I've traveled quite a bit of the US and I still haven't seen all there is to see yet. the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Mt. Rushmore... etc.

Nov 5th 2009 3:08PM Just trying to find a constructive outlet for his preference of designs. If he doesn't want to create a manual that details what's cool and "not ugly" then what's the point?
