Stuart,
I'm sure you can read all of our minds when we say 2/3 things.

1. Oh my god we live you.

2/3. Our hearts beat for 'out of this world' (and subsequent sequels)

Now if only you can use your amazing mojo to break the soulless hearts at lucasarts and bring to us the wonder that is day of the tentacle, we will erect statues in your honor that will last an eternity (well, untill the earth is raised by our tentacle masters)
I'm stuck at work till 12:30 tonight and tomorrow night, so i'll be playing just about nothing :( i'm just praying i'll be able to watch the timbers first game v wankover on saturday without the content blocker f'ing it all up...

seriously, this thing is set with absurd settings... i can see joystiq but MY COMPANY's website is blocked. I can view the BBCnews and NYtimes but my local paper? blocked... so stupid.

gotta up and move next week too, so it looks like i'll be packing and subsisting off of puzzlequest DS for the next week :(
well, i'm working today and have been at "the office" since tuesday afternoon... but when i do finally get home i have some off-the-grid surprises to brighten my next few days off.
1. man in yellow expansion decks for Arkam Horror (by far the best board game ever) - though i somehow have the feeling tha Hastur is going to own us.
2. Ticket to Ride Scandanavia
3. I may try and hunt down PES09 (which i should have picked up on the many sale days at amazon... oh well)

but for now, work... thank you for posting santa vs. the martians - it will make my 12+ hour shift much easier
Love the space harrier - actually Space Harrier II has been on the VC for a while and not only was it a game that i got with my genesis way back when, but I have found that over the years it is one of the games that i play more consitently than any other. Basic shooter, but runs a smoother than the Master System one.
So though it's a little more dosh, SHII is a fun, simple shooter with a great soundtrack.
I've been giving this a lot of thought....

it's either Gummie Bears Online, or possibly "Monty Python and the Holy Grail: The continuing adventures of Sir Robin's Minstrels OR How I learned to stop worrying and love The Great Llama Army of the Andes" - an action strategy game somewhere between Dungeon/SpaceSeige and Myth II.

I told you I had been giving this a lot of thought.

what that you say?

yes I'm talking to my self, and I'm ok with that.
My sentiments exacty... just let us take the VC on the road. (fine if no n64 & neo geo)
Well, EA seems to have evidence of positive reinforcement to their overall business strategy this week...

...and i have absolutely no idea how i feel about that in terms of the political spectrum... but... well... there it is...
the only real gripe i have is the sheer loudness of the menu... whenever i switch over to the wii from a different system/tv the menu is SO LOUD that i constantly has me jumping up to adjust the volume... even if i plan for it, as soon as i start a game i have to turn it up to hear the game music... just not enough thought put into the overall system volume.
Just to expand a little with "faction PvP" and track us back into DAoC and now WAR... what makes rvr so compelling in these games (and how you can have it be the main game mechanic) is that it's not really that it is based on specific rewards, or one ruleset, or minigame style (though WARs scenarios can be looked at as slightly analogous to WoW's valleys and battlegrounds) is that in DAoC and from what i have gathered from the little WAR i have seen so far the RvR outcome has specific reprecussions in the main world... so even if you concentrate on PvE you see the results of the war effort and at the very least see the incentive to get involved... even if it is only as far as providing your guild members who do rvr with loot/support.

I got into MMOs playing DAoC and my heart still races when i think of the times spent working away in the frontiers to gain majority control in order to open up the RvR dungeon (Darkness Falls) to my faction, then either running back or switching toons to rush the ent all the way across the dangerous areas to pick off escaping Mids and Albs.

um... so just the pictures single-handedly made me pick back-up Sui3... I love having something to plan for while i wait for the development of spore & WAR

The DS is such a fantastic RPG machine - because remember '2/3rds of every RPG is PR.' I wonder how the boss would feel about playin' some TierKreis one the job... hmmm.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
