I understand why people don't like Apple TV. Here's why: Because it isn't the end-all be-all everything device that people so desperately desire, so they can't wrap their head around it having any value.

Regarding Multitasking:

You CAN do anything on the iPhone while you're on a phone call, including 3G data.

It's just an LCD with an LED backlight. No big deal here. But people think it's some whiz-bang new technology because they're marketing these as "LED TVs"

Storm is not so terrible, it's just not a great Blackberry and certainly not an iPhone. But you're still better off than you would be with an enV or other such "feature phone"

yeah, everything works in windows 7 on the acer aspire one. no problems whatsoever, and i didn't have to do anything extra like find drivers -- win7 just works. shrink your C: using http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm and create a new drive to install Windows 7 to. Mount the win7 ISO using Daemon Tools Lite, run setup.exe and tell it to install onto the new drive.

also, i recommend picking up a Sandisk Ultra II Plus SD card (with pop-out USB) and keeping it stashed in one of the Aspire One's SD slots, just in case you ever need to transfer files with somebody. $10 at http://www.adorama.com/IDSU2SDP102M.html

Acer Aspire One running Windows 7 here. It even does Aero! I highly recommend this system; just make sure you get the 6-cell battery for 5+ hrs battery life (i routinely get closer to 6). Not bad for ~$350

and yes, the trackpad is multi-touch with gesture support. Just enable tap-to-click and the button configuration is moot.

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
