I've had a Japanese one for a few weeks now and while I love it there are some issues I'd like to see fixed with firmware updates.

1. Don't lose what song I was playing when I connect to a computer (A simple thing but I really hate that "Feature"!)
2. The ability to automatically download album art and apply them to the MP3 ID3 tags using the built in wifi on the player (most of my MP3s don't have embedded album art)
3. A landscape QWERTY or Blackberry style keyboard for the internet browser, or use a system more like that on SE phones for the portrait phone style keyboard
4. Make the browser do a google search if you mistype an address rather than just saying that it is invalid. Especially if it's just invalid because I forgot the "http://" at the start!
5. Universal Mass Storage mode so I can plug it into Mac, Linux, pre-XP or non WM11 Windows
6. Better wifi connection utility (sometimes it refuses to connect despite having the correct password and settings)
Skype Out is available on 3 UK and 3 Ireland, however you can only use it to call contacts that are outside the country you're currently in. I specifically switched to 3 for the ability to use Skype-Skype and Skype-Out without a laptop.

Also, their Irish 3G coverage is great, up to 95% + of the country is covered as they share the Vodafone 3G network. Their speeds however are not great if you use the 3G modems, although that's more a limitation of the technology and how much they've oversold mobile broadband.
Oooh shiny! Me wants!
Did anyone notice that the lady who is holding the camera box is wearing a jacket with a Sony logo on it? I know this picture was used on a previous post about the 5D, so I'd love it if this became Engadget's de-facto picture for EOS 5D news, with a reasonably visible competitors logo on it.

Companies just love that sort of brand mixing stuff!
I really want it, but why oh why is it US residents only?
Wow, by delaying your console in Europe to AFTER Christmas (you told us we dont mind so it must be true), adding your usual European Premium Price Point(an inspired move), removing rumble feature (I never liked being immersed in games anyway) and now forcing importers to close under legal duress you are practically guaranteed a landslide console victory across Europe (faultless logic).

Check & mate Sony, check & mate!
"as far as 300-meters in an open wharehouse"

Should that be whorehouse or warehouse? I know I sure could use some of these new wireless devices in my whorehouse. :P
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
