As far as I know, AvivoXCODE doesn't use your graphics card at all. It's just fast because Ati ist either very good at multimedia-coding or because Ati chose to disable some quality-improving features of the codec. I guess it's a little of both :)
WythDryden, you're probably not supposed to put your laptop in there while it's runnig.
Just tried this inside my Creative MuVo V200s battery compartment. The plastic got scratched pretty badly, so it seems to be too soft for this sugar-thingy to work.
@ccutlip
Not yet. But you can already find 2GB MicroSD listed in online stores, so I guess they'll be available within a few weeks.
404 doesn't mean "broken". 503 could mean broken, if you're a geek :-)
Uh, I don't think this is anything new. The Z just designates the 1 GB version of the Samsung U2. The U2 2GB ist probably called U2Q.
Samsung does this since quite a while..

So you basically just found a more accurate name for an old device ;-)
@Brado
Yes.
Wake me when there's a Core 2 Duo notebook with a 12" widescreen display (prefferably non-glossy) that weighs less than 1.5kg :)

According to the specsheets, it records in WAV PCM or WAV ADPCM. The latter consumes about 200MB per hour.
Canon bundles crappy lenses with all their cheaper cameras. I'd guess that this 18-135 easily beats those.

SD sucks for people who upgrade and already have a stash of CF-Cards laying around. On the other hand, memorycards have become really cheap, so you can just buy 2x2GB SD when you can buy this camera.

The link doesn't do much right now, by the way.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
