I'm still not seeing the double standard here - as John said, the joke is that even an unabashed pro-Sony site is calling the new PSP the same name as the DS.
I'm not sure what you mean by the 5.5G iPod, but we certainly did question Apple when they lifted Creative's "nano" name.

Sure, but look at the orientation of the fonts in the closed position.
After every post I write about legal issues, at least.
While the parts might cost $200, don't forget the costs of R&D, manufacturing (factories ain't cheap!), distribution, support, and advertising. Looking at the difference between a parts teardown and MSRP really doesn't tell you anything.
