5. OSX86 project, can run OSX on any newer laptop.

Overall advantage goes to apple marketing for duping people into believing there is a real advantage to getting a mac.
when the messenger is standing next to the pit, and says "this is madness", leonidas looks around knowing it will put sparta to war, and then violently yells "THIS IS SPAAAAARRRRRRTTAAAA" and kicks him in the chest down the pit. AWESOMENESS

Xbox 360 will never be a real media center until they remove the restrictions and support other codecs, and standards. My 360 sits in the box still while I get more use out of the original Xbox. Microsoft should use XBMC.. then you will see Microsoft take over the living room.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
