Go to Fry's or a similar outlet and get an Olympus 400 series (E-420 or E-410) for crazy cheap. Mine is selling it for $250 with a lens. They are the smallest DSLR so they aren't overwhelming in size, and they take great photos. And Olympus doesn't make crap kit lenses like many brands do--just to get you in the door and wanting a more expensive lens.
Ha! Should have been called: the best of the crap cams. Seriously, these are bottom of the barrel. No Olympus? No Canon? And anyone who picks a Samsung camera as a winner is being paid for such an opinion. Or knows nothing about cameras.
And I thought my Cowon iAudio X5's "Color Sound' was weird. Oil save? WFT.
I love Apple Computers and have had many--currently use a MacBook as my main pc. But I love Cowon and it's unlikely I will ever buy an iPod. A lot of the BS that Windows users say about the Mac are actually true about the iPods IMHO. I love my D2. I only wish Cowon made a harddrive based player that was small.
I love this this player (like most Cowons) but just can't spare the funds for it right now. I beg of you...
Looks like a Cowon S9. Alot.
As an eco-friendly person I love firewire. It's rarely (ever?) considered by others, but firewire drives that are powered by the computer will go to sleep when the computer does. I use an EyeTV and save to an external FW drive. I very much appreciate the energy savings of a drive that only takes power when used. EyeTV wakes the computer when it's time to record and sleeps when done. USB drives will not shut off when my Mac Mini is asleep. To all the other reasons that FW is better add this one.
LEOPARD only?
Engadget rules!
Of course, I meant *32GB* microSD.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
