I used to have a kitty called Nora, but that soo long ago.
Vista allows to control monitor settings thru software. The days of ugly OSD (on-screen display) are numbered. Now you can change brightness, contrast, resolution, etc, etc thru software over DDC/CI channel. Display has to support that DDC/CI specification to be rated Vista-ready.

Check out our company's DisplayTune application at http://www.portrait.com/ for details if you are interested.
Many major display manufacturers put our software in the box with their latest "Vista ready" monitors.
I guess it's for the same reason they put $4.99 in price tags instead of $5.00. :)
I'm waiting for a CableCARD support in Windows MCE since I do all my TV watching thru PC. Hopefully it would be not so long.
I'm hooked up on "Friends" - can watch it over and over again.
And also "Smallville" and "Supernatural"
"Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
