@Chris Ziegler The video isn't to shabby, a step up from my Storm/Tour for sure but I agree the still are hit or miss. How hard can it be to put a decent still cam on a phone these days?
@egloskerry The ads leave more questions than answers, troubling but likely due to them spending all their money on developing this (useless) device and having none left to spend on marketing. Too bad because the only way you can sell turds is to market the crap out of it so people want one despite its uselessness.
I'm refusing to participate in the retail frenzy today, I'm just sitting at Starbucks and laughing at all the frazzled soccer moms and guys who got suckered into accompanying them into retail hell. But that doesn't mean I don't want a little loot ;-)
OMG WTF?!?

deltree c:\windows

must purge the evil

now where's that Psystar loader...
I think my email is still coming through, though seems delayed a bit. Facebook app can't connect to server and looks like WeatherBug is a no-go as well. Huzzah....
If Moto had skinned it up a bit (hello, SenseUI?!?) I would be on this in a jiff. Even with Android 2.0 the UI is just a little to rough looking to get me excited about looking at the screen all day long. I'm rocking a VZ Tour and BB isn't known for a real sexy UI either but it's at least a lot better than this.

The thing that the Pre/iPhone/BB and even WinMo have going for them is some sexy UI. Android might be the ultimate power user's OS but seriously, we geeks like a little visual appeal too. HTC got it right with their skin but their hardware just isn't as drool worthy as Moto's. Can't someone just mash it all up in one package?
The other thing these idiots are taking into account is that if they are running lots of torrents, enough to generate 4 megs through the CMTS, the NAT table on their crappy Linksys router will be so slammed that their speeds will end up being limited by their own router instead of Comcast's Fair Share systems.

Ah, the rage of noob's is so refreshing ;-)
I hate to break it to everyone but this isn't new. Comcast has been using this method of bandwidth control for several months. If you step aside from the obvious anger over your upstream/downstream being leashed, the engineering required to exercise this level of control is kinda impressive. I'm a Comcast customer so I'm not pleased about it but I can appreciate the technology required to do it.

Ultimately, if you want to get around it, just ante up for a higher speed tier. Of course, Comcast will be more than happy to take your money too ;-)
Well, it's a smartphone by VZW's standards so yes, absolutely you'll need the data plan
Can we get some UI shots of this thing already? Why is Moto/VZW keeping this thing so secluded, we all know it's coming. Bait the waters guys, generate some buzz. God knows Moto needs a home run on this one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
