That's the thing. EDGE works well. But we're paying more for 3G and it's WORSE than EDGE. Thry an iPhone 3G on EDGE and then try it on 3G. The 3G is completely unreliable.

To all the folks that are not having problems, I bet many of you spend a good amount of time on EDGE.
Horrible in Atlanta, horrible in Tampa. 3G is the least reliable service I've used. AT&T EDGE is OK. But, since upgrading to the 3G iPhone I get dropped calls all over the place.

AT&T also doesn't give a rats a$$ if you're having problems. They give you a canned support response. Even Sprint EV-DO was better than this.
I actually like Live Mesh. And I usually hate M$ products...

- no need to sign up for a Live email account (I used my gmail address as a login)
- works on a Mac
- 5GB
- syncs as necessary and keeps a detailed changelog
- good web interface with file access (from anywhere)
- free!

The download version is only $24.95 regular price.

Please don't do this! As a sysadmin that has to share Mac OS X volumes out to PC users as well as Macs... special characters are chaotic when viewed via SMB. Sometimes they will show up until clicked, sometimes they will get replaced by $$##xyz or other times they will just not show up.

Please don't make the life of your sysadmins any more difficult!
Only Apple can call a flush headphone jack a feature after forcing everyone to buy an adapter to use headphones that work in EVERY OTHER AUDIO DEVICE EVER MADE. Yes, I'm bitter that I have iPhone 1.0 and am too cheap to buy an adapter to use my nice headphones. F-U on this one Jonathan Ive.
I'd maximize my tax return by declaring itemized deductions and "stick it to the man!"
@Matt B: same problem here. I'm using a Sony STR-DG800 and I think the HDCP stream is the culprit. If you switch to the cable box HDCP syncs, but the Mac Mini doesn't do HDCP when the receiver or TV expects it.

I have a problem with a 17" MacBook Pro that no longer recognizes a 30" display. It was connected to a projector, and ever since it won't recognize the 30". The screen goes blank for a moment, but never outputs video to the 30". I zapped the PRAM, used the Detect Displays trick and no luck. Going back to the projector it will display video, so I tried moving the menu bar back and forth and no luck. Any ideas?
I believe that I deserve an iPhone because some US Americans don't have iPhones and like such as in South Africa or The Iraq there aren't iPhones so I think the US have to help people in The Iraq and South Africa and other Asian countries to that I can have an iPhone and such as that will build a better future...rr.
Has anyone else seen how poorly these cheap Chinese cars fare in crash tests? You'd be better off tweaking an electric golf cart than commuting in their death-traps. The electric running gear can only be so cheap...where do you think they cut corners?

I'm all for an all electric, plug-in ride...but not at the expense of safety.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
