It's Koodo, not Kido.

But none if it will really mean a lick of difference, as they're all just slightly varied versions of the same price plans. It's nice only in that you can stick with the carrier of your choice, if you're loyal. There really hasn't been any price drops as a result of this "competition".
I'm a little ignorant of services and the automator tool. I've checked into them a bit, but I really haven't had the time, resources, or motivation to investigate thoroughly enough to help improve my workflow.

...can anyone recommend some sites that give a good walkthrough of these things? I need an explanation for why they're handy, some examples, and a step-by-step.
I'm not sure why Exchange support isn't drawing more attention. I work in IT, but in an office that's predominantly Windows based, and email is Exchange based. Up until now, I've been reduced to using Entourage or webmail for my email solution. Being able to utilize Mail, iCal, and Contacts will be huge for me, eliminating one of the major hurdles in using a Mac in a Windows based work environment.
Fido is a subsidiary of Rogers... but they are still a distinct company and still count as a separate supplier.
I'm getting sick of the ever-increasing trend of apps not being available in the Canadian store.
That's a good point as well... I'd love that functionality. I need to keep the phone turned up high at night for emergencies, but would love to be able to automate turning off (or down) the email/sms sounds after a certain hour, rather than have to go into the settings before bed every night.
This brings up a good point. I'm in a position now of being "on-call" at work, and need to find a good alarm clock/speakerphone dock for the iPhone. I want something I can dock the iPhone in to charge, and that has controls on it to answer the phone when it rings and play it through the speakers. To me, this seems like a no-brainer, but all I've found are alarm clocks that turn off the phone function when docked.

I don't think there's a solution that acts like a speakerphone extension and a clock.
Google Reader is my preferred method for RSS. I just visited the site, click the Bookmark icon, add to Home screen - and I have an icon to launch into the reader whenever I want.

I just wish Google would offer a way to auto-remove items older than a certain date, or limit them to a certain user defined #. Currently they accumulate up to 1000 items and that's just too much for me, given that I am subscribed to a dozen feeds and I don't read them daily.
It's very addictive. Overall, it's very well done - but it does have a few quirks that should hopefully be fixed by an update. Having said that, it's a really complex game with a lot of features and a few quirks are to be expected.

Like I said above, though - if you're having issues with crashing, turn the phone off and back on to clear any TSR's from memory, and then play. Doing that, I had no crashes for hours.
As mentioned by someone, somewhere... if you power the phone off and back on before playing, it helps the crashes a great deal. After downloading and trying to play for 30 minutes with frequent crashes, I tried this - and was able to play for a couple of hours without a crash.

...but I feel you pain about the bridge and power line over water issues.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
