one that's outside the range in terms of size but is a stellar machine, the Toshiba T135-S1309 or S1310. 13.3" screen and full size keyboard.

I picked one up the other day for a tick under $500 at Best Buy and it's very slick and light. Plus is has 4GB of ram, Dual-core CULV processor and Windows 7. Not a bad package for the price point.
Better late than never...

GT2 was great but I think GT3 win's outright honors :)
I'm sure it's gotta be in there. Road Atlanta FTW!
Holy cow, gotta go with the Volvo 240 GLT Estate '88 haha. That, sir, is the definition of "Awesome". Can't wait to tune that bad boy!
one word: want!

Simple gorgeous in every aspect.
Why not enter more contests for free stuff :) I could use it all!

Porsche should stick to making great cars, not all this corporate wrangling they have been trying to do for the past year or so...

Maybe we can finally get the change in management we have been hoping for. My vote goes to the person that can deliver a new GT1!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
