Oh to have such free time again...
Ditto. He seems like a genuinely cool, down to earth dude. Makes me want to rip apart my PC...
The only thing "lame" about AVCHD are all the NLE vendors who refuse to support it. I am all for a new codec/standard that all NLE's will work with. But your ragging on AVCHD is getting old, Engadget.
Don't tease us, Engadget. How bout a list of said App Store apps compiled in Flash? I am most curious to see what can be done...

This is a rare ass hat gem from Engadget. The "worthless" parties here are the NLE vendors who seem to refuse to support this fastest growing codec! (Yeah, I'm talking to YOU, Avid. Get on the stick...)
OMG, PLEASE tell me Tim Gunn makes a cameo. He is SO dreamy. (Say this aloud with a hiss.)
;)
Ditto. On a related note, was any consideration taken for Lot numbers? I did a lot of research before "choosing a side" (Xbox vs PS3). If my memory serves me correctly, Lot 735 and later were highly touted by 360 fanboys as "RROD-free". And mine has been just that. I now own both consoles and can tell you that Microsoft finally does something right with this great piece of hardware.
Ditto. Bought the first gen model at Fry's 2 weeks ago for the same price point. And I DO love it. It plays ISO files. What's not to love?
ZGrip pro: $295
Tripod Mount: $50
Extender Pole: $40

Best of luck with that, Zacuto.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
