"...we highly doubt you're seriously planning on using an old-news OS for another couple years.."

haha :D im still on a windows 98 box.. and it doesnt lock up too often unless i go fuck around and use too much memory or something...
Well, that was a pretty ignorant comment... but that aside, im stoked for the iphone coming to canada, since i am looking for a phone. however.. that is a slighly high price point.
congradulations engadget, keep up the great work you are truly a great site and deserve this award.
best of luck now, and in the future, and have a happy holiday :)
Some People are always on the go, and they do not need a 17 inch Laptop that weighs a lot.. they want light, small and power efficient. that is why there is a market for ultra portable laptops.
"That's what those muscles in your hands are for"

you don't have muscles in your hand :P they are all in your wrists.

I think this is quite funny however it basically sucks for the people having their television sets broken... I remember seeing rubber grips for the wiimote, they could be a nice accessory :)
I think the file sharing feature is neat, however when will you really use it in the real world, since a ton of people already have an iPod, I don't see there being many people to share your songs with, plus the Zune is a bit bigger, which IMO is the real popular thing right now, and is the reason I am purchasing the new Nano.
Looks uncomfortable , the way the peice that goes behind the ear might be too small for someone with large ears, and the edges look a little sharp, although this is more what i hoped the PSP headset would look like before they released it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
