Oct 26th 2006 7:17PM The interface is attractive, but not attractive enough to make me buy a Sony product.
Run OS X 10.4.8 legally on any PC, kinda sorta {Engadget}
Oct 25th 2006 4:52PM Actually, no, you can't run any OS on any computer on the planet. For example, you can't run the PowerPC version of OS X on a PC because PowerPC is not an Intel/x86 CPU. You are the one who is ignorant.

Oct 25th 2006 1:48PM Agreed, this is nothing. This is simply Darwin, which is already freely available.
Get Vista at a discount if you buy a PC now {Engadget}
Oct 25th 2006 10:35AM The image makes no mention of Vista x64. Since XP x64 can't be upgraded to or from any 32 bit version, might it be possible that XP x64 can be upgraded to to Vista x64?

That is why implausible is not an accurate word to use in this article.

BitTorrent clients coming to NASes and routers: PC-less downloads for all {Engadget}
Oct 23rd 2006 10:41PM Um... no, I didn't miss the point. I was replying to Mike's post where he said "So you can download via BT without having your PC on? But instead you have this router on and a NEtwork storage device on?" My point was that no one turns off their router or network attached storage device. His logic of "but instead you have this router on" doesn't make sense. Who shuts off their routers? No one. But people do shut off their PCs.
