Damn, I wish this was on T-Mo - I've got the myTouch 3g, definitely satisfied with it but the Moment would make be a nice addition to my Android family.
PATA? Is this due to the form factor? I mean c'mon, it's 2009, this thing should be a SATA drive..

just sayin...
@ Chris D.

"I get the Borg Queen from Star Trek image in my mind everytime I see this commercial"

I got the same impression! Totally makes me think of Alice Krige...
@Drew

ROFTL!!! That's an awesome one! Nice!
M5800 - would be a nice slick experience with Windows 7 on it

this may be a christmas present for myself - may even be cheaper
then!

The funny thing is - I've over all these months since the Storm came out I've heard how terrible it is etc.

Yet when I've actually talked to people with Storms and they demo some of its capabilities for me
because I've asked them how they like it and what it does for them, they sure do seem like
they work nicely... I find more and more myself taking what Engadget and their commenters
say with a grain of salt. Especially with all the hate poured on the BB Storm.

(Not a Storm owner, I'm a G1 user (and yeah, we've gotten our share of slagging too) - Almost
makes me think if its not a "fruit phone" it's crap - which is why I hope the Palm Pre shuts all
the "fruit phone" fanatics up for a while (including its Engadget staff supporters).

Do all freeking smartphone/devices have to be like the "fruit phone"????

I think not...

There is still plenty of room for innovation in this sector

Don't get me wrong, I love reading about goodies and gadgets here.
I think a good job is done here with covering stuff.
all the above is just MHO.
Not picking on anybody, just saying...
I'd rather them take their time and get it right as a G1 owner.

Sounds like T-Mo has learned their lessons from other companies' smartphone foibles...

Not mentioning any names...
Thank you for imparting that - I was wondering if someone was going to help Engadget out.
(not being sarcastic either, honestly - I know sometimes things come across wrong over the internet.)
As a long time fan all I have to say is OH NOES! :(
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
