Celrun TV does multimedia streaming right {Engadget}
Feb 26th 2008 4:16PM Until it's got video_ts I'm not interested in any of these streamers.
Many folks (myself included) watch lots of foreign films or films w/ closed captions. Most of these formats make it damned near impossible to manage these.
Quite frankly I almost think it should be against ADA for companies like Apple to promote a product so heavily that leaves out people w/ hearing impairments (I don't fall into that category, but I would be very annoyed to watch the latest tech slip by if I was).
Palm tries to make a right with two wrongs {Engadget}
Feb 21st 2008 5:30PM I agree. For some the power version works & then they have a spouse, friend, etc that the Zire meets their needs perfectly- I mean, if your "need" is to carry around something that can easily be duplicated on a phone...
Walt checks out ThinkPad X300, also fits in manila folder {Engadget}
Feb 13th 2008 12:21PM Matt's lyin'. It's a built in stapler. It's got everything!
On the optical drive front- I have really yet to use mine. Most software's downloadable & when I want to watch a movie I digitize it first.
Samsung's 5 megapixel G800 gets launched, available next month {Engadget}
Oct 22nd 2007 1:03PM I've read the same about their last 5mp phone/camera attempt on numerous review sites.
Plus Samsung batteries aren't all the great (even when compared to Nokia's latest efforts).
Gotta say though- does look nice.
Battery pack upgrade for Prius claims 150MPG {Engadget}
Oct 20th 2007 7:49PM These figures are easily found. Less than one dollar per "gallon".

There are some places in California where this entire conversion could be offset by local initiatives & state funded rebates.
I own a Civic Hybrid, but will certainly consider other options that allow for a sizable chunk of my driving to be gasoline free when I next purchase.
Eye-Fi's 2GB SD wireless card hits the FCC {Engadget}
Oct 19th 2007 8:50PM I guess. Our Panasonic SDR100 uses SD cards, but phones & many cameras do not.
I would still like to see it expanded to more formats. My thinking is that once they've got the technology down they can just reformat. We'll see.
Nokia's N810 makes first appearance, drops jaws {Engadget}
Oct 17th 2007 10:29AM I think people are confused about the size on this thing. If it were the dimensions of *ahhhhhh* (please read in Spongebob happy voice) the iPhone then it would be not quite as exciting. As it is, the resolution is far superior & it's not meant to compete with straight up phones. It's a category to its own along with HTC's Advantage (which is a phone, sort of).
I had the 1st Nokia tablet. I didn't like it. No QWERTY was the least of its problems. Sluggish was the main one. I hear that's been resolved.
Apple officially cuts DRM-free track prices to $.99 {Engadget}
Oct 16th 2007 6:19PM No kidding. I used to say itunes was it because the interface was so slick. However, with Amazon you get itunes for the management program & albums for 7.99. Can't beat it. Coupled with emusic for indies & it is much easier to be disc free & not feel like you're bound to the ipod.
Nokia's S60 Touch Interface announced {Engadget}
Oct 16th 2007 10:38AM Whoever's designing their phones these days is very good (isn't it the former Ventu guy?). This phone, like the recently announced N81, N82 have classic Nokia features, but look really modern.
I keep trying to tell myself that the N95 is the last phone I'll need to buy. If they shove a decent camera & expandable memory I'll be proven wrong (again).
A veritable gaggle of AT&T rumors (hint: red iPhone?) {Engadget}
Oct 12th 2007 6:20PM iphone aside- I'm more interested in the k850. That's a nice looking phone & I wouldn't mind testing it out (shutter lag has to be better than the N95).
