I almost agreed with you, until I remembered

http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/22/comcast-tivo-makes-it-into-the-wild/

comcast is a TiVo partner. They provide TiVo DVR's, so it doesn't make sense if they limit TiVo.
A watch would be nice.
The three rectangles on the back struck me as odd, then I realized what they remind me of...

"And Ras, how about you get a new f'n joke? Now you are just the loser kid in the class repeating the joke the funny kid said weeks ago in a desperate attempt to be cool. Stop it, and find your own humor."

Posting the "I for one, welcome our ____ overlords" is an obligatory statement on engadget. If Ras hadn't posted it, I would've. And if I hadn't, someone else would've. If you really dislike it, then don't draw attention to it. For what it's worth, it made me chuckle.
> "Hmm... Is it just me... or does that look like one of those mug warmer things that keeps your coffee hot?"

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
