Oct 19th 2009 12:37AM My ASUS W3J cost me a little more than $2000 a few years back with extra RAM and a modular bay battery--and I haven't regretted it one bit. It still smokes most others' in gaming and media tasks despite its age, and besides some minor cosmetic blemishes I haven't had any issues with it. If you get a high-end notebook from a good manufacturer, the performance, style, and reliability can be well worth the extra cost.

Oct 14th 2009 11:59AM You should always take a look at mice to see whether they fit your mouse grip style--it's probably THE most important factor, even more than DPI, corded/cordless, etc. Claw ("finger") grip users rarely are happy with palm grips, and vice versa. If you see any pictures of any given mouse you should be able to tell what's going to work for you before you take the leap.
