And the newest cast member of SNL is ... {TV Squad}

Aug 21st 2008 12:38PM I don't know anything about him, but maybe he'll be the spark that triggers a change. Being the newbie in the team though I doubt he'll manage to have a major influence. Someone really needs to come in and throw away whatever rulebook they're working from now because it so isn't resulting in anything like comedy.

And the newest cast member of SNL is ... {TV Squad}

Aug 21st 2008 12:36PM Well somebody had to say it :-) Seriously, it has no real gems at all for me. I watch it once or twice a year and think to myself "is this still a comedy show?". It's amateurish. I really think the biggest problem with it is that it's live. Yes I know, that's the whole point. Unfortunately it just ends up being not funny. I found the things that the contestants on "whose line is it anyway" came up with funnier stuff on the spot.

And the newest cast member of SNL is ... {TV Squad}

Aug 21st 2008 11:45AM I'm sure the 50 people who still watch SNL will be thrilled. It hasn't been funny since the early 90's.

Add some geek love to the IT Crowd set - VIDEO {TV Squad}

Aug 13th 2008 8:29AM Great news :) I was worried that Richard being involved in the US version might mean we fail to get a third series. Can't wait. It's a show I can watch over and over. I've got all the episodes on my cell phone and they keep me entertained when the wife's doing her shoe-shopping thing :)

Is Nightline a goner? {TV Squad}

Aug 12th 2008 2:01PM Is it FCC law in America that a chat show has to start at 11:35 pm? Why couldn't Leno's ABC show (if it happens) be on at 9pm or 10pm?

Loving the Olympics. NBC... not so much {TV Squad}

Aug 12th 2008 11:01AM I can't imagine watching the Olympics on American TV. It must be horrendous with ad breaks every 5 minutes (assuming it's the same as with regular shows).

I'm loving the BBC broadcast of it here in the UK. Uninterrupted coverage, with digital interactive TV options ("pressing the red button") giving you the chance to choose from 6 different live sport feeds. It's the way the Olympics should be. Maybe by 2012 y'all will have caught up (of course I know you won't) ;-)

Joss Stone joining the cast of The Tudors {TV Squad}

Aug 6th 2008 10:17AM Well if her most recent album is anything to go by, her music career is pretty much over. Her first two albums were perfect, with not a bad song to be found. The third (most recent) album was absolutely terrible. Only one good song on it.

Anything wrong with that ? Hint: they'll

Obituaries for your favorite Cheers regulars {TV Squad}

Jul 11th 2008 11:42AM Any chance that posts like this can have [Pointless] at the beginning of the title? Then I can auto-trash them using a rule in my RSS reader.

Where are they now: The employees and patrons of Cheers {TV Squad}

Jul 9th 2008 11:01AM If Frasier is fictional, and Diane is fictional, and the plane is the fictional invention of a fictional character, oh wait, I got bored in the middle of this long run-on sentence.
