my parents fought in the betamax-vhs wars. I remember seeing her betamax player in her room and i always wondered why vhs tapes wouldnt work with it. i soon later realized that they were two formats completing for market dominance. This war i sought to correct my parents mistake so i went with the anti-sony choice, hd-dvd. I just hope that my son will choose the right side by the time the next war starts.
the only way i'd buy a blu-ray player is if the entire lord of the rings trilogy came on one disc. blu-ray supporters keep jacking off bragging how much space they have but so far they havent put any of that space to good use
exactly why the first xbox didnt do well and the 360 is a huge sucess. Sony is taking a pitstop in this race
As an HD-DVD supporter, I really am hurt by this. Now i have a $200 dollar piece of plastic stuck to my xbox. I am happy however that somebody's won. I look forward to the day i can get a sub-$100 bluyray player. All i every really wanted out of this war was to get some kickass HD movies for my HDTV. It just sucks i picked the wrong side. Its also ashame blu-ray supporter (most ive seen) are being arrogant assholes (Micheal L) I mean first you blame us for being arrogant then you go say something like that. Wow...
wow the wii really is an everybody console
let the sony fanboyism commence. Ive had my 360 for over 2 years and so far no problems. Almost all of my friends have 360s and theirs are fine.
Windows Live Auction sounds a hell of a lot better than the Apple verson iAution
i wasnt trying to sound like a MS fanboy (even thought i was hating on people who hate MS) but thats besides the point. My point is that even without the WiFi, the Zune is still a darn good mp3 player compared to others out there.
I find it pretty funny that the zune is being so critized. I saw in the worst products of 2006, so many people nominated zune. Creative makes crappy ipod-wannabe mp3s every year and yet no one critizes them. Instead, they see that the zune is made by microsoft and automatically assume it sucks. Get over it apple fanboys and MS haters. It looks like MS's idea is catching on. Pretty soon we'll see iPods with WiFi.
now if only they made a 360 with a built in power brick...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
