Robert Enderle is a know Microsoft paid shill. The mac community has known about his "Tech Reporting" for years. The only way to get rid of him is to ignore him. He is paid to believe in HDDVD it's his job. And his tactics of writing "reports" and getting them linked to by unsuspecting and non fact checking sites such as this one just make his job easier. On one hand HDBEAT wants to report this because it's news. On the other, Everyone would be better server if HDBEAT ignored some alleged sources of "information" for the betterment of their readers. It's a tough row to hoe, HDBEAT. What do you do, Promote the well being of your readers, or promote the fanboy forum war that will probably ensue to get hits and page views to show your advertisers. I hope it's the interest of your readership that has you motivated or next we'll be seeing Paul Thurrot being Quoted in these pages.
Hello? Van Wilder is coming out this week. Easily the biggest title on the chart. Don't you know he's the raddest dude on campus. ;=)
Just give us the names of Politicians to vote out of office.
I love the "Ability to customize avatars with unique items based on game accomplishments and ownership"
What an easy way to find out people who want to play a football game than walk up to someone wearing a Buffalo Bills/favourite team Jersey. This is a visual space after all. The more visual clues as too what gamers want the better. And after seeing the demos it looks like a bluetooth headset is a must. Sony should make it a pack in.
M$ is a short form form the Ars Technica site. Sorry if it offends a few people.
M$ has always been about making as much money by delivering the least amount of product. PERIOD. This greed infects everyone in their management and every decision they make. It's why they charge for Live, It's why they nickel and dime their customers with expensive accessories, It's why they used the cheapest materials possible in their hardware. It's why they offered the three year warranty to current XBox Owners. They say it's a billion dollars but they hope they will have to spend a lot less to make the problem go away. Why? Because the alternative was to lose even more money and that's what MS is all about. I won't be surprised to hear more ales like this from other employees. Next we'll find out that he invested in the companies that are fixing the Xbox 360. I've heard that's a booming business.
There's never enough shooters. And if it's priced right. Not $40 but around 5-8 then it should be a worthy download. I'm going to need a bigger hard drive.
He seems to think it's connected with the Xbox 360 shipment shortage of late.

More likely related to the channel stuffing Microsoft did at Christmas. Expected move from Microsoft. Though I have to imagine the hit they are taking financially is getting crazy. And the other problem is. They still haven't fixed the design defects in the 360. The 360 will help but I keep hearing reports that it's more than just the heat problem (s). Scratched disks come to mind.
A billion. That's like a hit of $85 dollars per console. Unbelievable. I respect MS for doing the honourable thing, but I still don't trust the hardware.
How many of these titles that are released will be exclusive to HD DVD? All of them? I assume that Universals movies will only be HD DVD, but will Paramounts and Warners be exclusive.
Price Drop can't come soon enough. But I think it will happen in October the same day they launch HOME. That way they can produce machines that have cheaper components over the summer. Start selling in October and get a bigger bounce come November and December. More AAA title games and Blue-Ray movies should be out by then. They should really push the Bluray movies by the way. Lucky Europeans are going to be watching Bond on Bluray this weekend and i gotta say it looks great. And start bundling the PS3 with Bravias would ya.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
