I wish I had a photo of a plate I saw at the Cupertino campus last time I was there:

"WWSJD"
I'm pretty ticked about the whole thing. I don't get a lot of time to veg out in front of the xbox and play all my new christmas games save just for a week or so arond the new year.

I haven't been able to even play my single-player games offline for the last few days. y'all can tell me to get a life or whatever, and that's fine. but for a guy who loves his videogame time, this is pretty lame.

however, I have filled the void by logging onto the xboxlive.com forums and laughing at the posts from all the people who are making death threats and saying they want to "blow up microsoft". at least I'm not that desperate.

(...yet)
uh, probably not the right blog to point this out, but the pictures shown of the theme ("drawing" with light) are a direct rip-off of Sprint's recent print/TV campaign...

quite possibly the greatest utility ever written for the mac platform. I'm very happy to see it go open source - it can only lead to even greater things.
@ alex valentine

so go buy a dell and quit your whining.
CS3 Design Standard setup program hangs on my C2D MBP. And when I mean hang, I really do mean hang. Can't force-quit, can't #kill either.

At the same time, those in a production environment should NOT be immediately installing a brand-spankin-new OS on their boxes. If you did, and you can't work when those billable hours start on Monday morning - then you got what you deserved.

"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
