I dont think the sony mp3 players look all that great or have an amazing feature set or anything like that. But their sound quality is amazing. I have an ipod touch and the music just doesnt sound as sweet even compared to my psp.
Alienware Curved monitor!
It was a pmp 120, one of the first video players. I was pretty dissapointed they discontinued support for the device after only a couple months.
Man iriver is coming out with some good looking products. Unfortunately i bought a portable video player from them a few years back and they released all of 2 firmware updates and left all the people that bought it out in the cold.
Im surprised no one has repeated the hd dvd mantra yet "this format war is far from over" Cause lets all face it even if paramount doesnt switch now that format is dead either way. You can rattle off anecdotal evidence about how hd dvd is better looking than blu ray or how hd dvd has pip and a finished spec or whine about blu ray region coding and spill misinformation about drm but the 3 biggest factors that matter are studio support which blu ray has 70% of without paramount, player sales which blu ray is far ahead in because of the ps3, and movie sales which blu ray has been winning 2:1.
I still dont get this thing but for some reason i think it and products like it will take off. I mean if wii fit takes off god only knows what other gimmicks people are willing to blow money on.
Cnet is dead to me, especially after veronica left. So hot.... What were we talking about again?
People dont come to engadget so they can find out what the mood in the room was like, they come to read about the details on new products from electronics manufacturers. If i wanted to read smart ass backhanded comments about new devices then i could go to gizmodo. The reason i come to engadget is because there is less bias and more reporting of details. This post was the polar opposite, providing absolutely no useful information about the things announced but instead replacing the details with pithy little commments that sound like they came from a middle schooler.
Novint set up a test booth on my university campus. On my way to get lunch i went to try one of the falcons out to find that more than half of the setups didnt work and the one that i found that did work promptly crashed and refused to recognize the controller. On top of that was the fact that the two idiots who were suppose to be running the demonstrations were too busy hogging 2 of the machines that worked fine. So in summation $240 is too much money and my experience was less than encouraging.
The fight scenes have looked the same for several builds. The graphics look great and all but if thats how the fighting is going to play out it'll be a disaster. It just looks so damn awkward with all these enemies standing around waiting for you to attack kind of like a bad episode of power rangers.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
