It's easy to knock a V1 product for what it doesn't have. There's a reason we're seeing a flood of new touch-enabled handsets; the market wants it. But, no, don't praise it for its ingenuity.

Aug 7th 2007 11:42AM Mind your revenues v. profits. Sure they take in $130M per quarter, then they spend $126M of it. Their profit margin is 3%, and they weren't profitable for the first 10 years or so of their existence, so I wouldn't say they're raking it in.
(Still, I'm anti-Coinstar as I operate a competing service - hack away!)

Anyway, I know it's the height of lazy, but I'd rather watch anything on my couch than at my desk chair, risking carpel tunnel, but only if the interface is as user-friendly and dynamic as that of a PC (TiVo's is a good example). And when those pipes widen, we'll all want to take advantage of our sweet 50" 1080i's.
