So if an FA asks me to kill someone and if I don't I will be put in the FAA corner with a dunce-cap? I don't think I, or any other passenger should be held to follow instructions which are not reasonable for the situation and only when given by someone who is in a proper state of mind. Do I open a fire-escape window if the FA says so but I can see fire immediately outside? Do I lips-sync "My Heart Will Go On", dancing the maccarena with my pants around my ankles rather than risk the FAA sanctions?
What crew duties were interfered with? Was the passenger blocking the isle? Was the passenger ordered to open his seat tray? (what do you have with always opening in the tray in the first place?)
Honestly, I would not think it unreasonable for the passengers to have revolted and asked that the FA in question be 'excused' so she can go sit in time-out or use the crew rest area (if the equipment is so equipped.)
