You know, I've never really understood why we don't get the show in its proper British form on BBC America. I've heard it has something to do with the copyright status of the music. Could something so simple really be keeping us from getting the goods?

For the love of god and all that is good, BBC, please stop trying to give us our own version hosted by the cast of the Surreal World and bring us the regular British show. We don't care if Jeremy hates all American cars and most Americans. I would too if I had the same problems with by Ford GT!
The quality still sucks. Every time my brother has take his two year old E550 into the shop, he's replacing some sort of $1000 computer module.
This could only be a good thing for us long-suffering Americans. A Fiat 500 would be a welcome breath of fresh air.
This is just dumb. Every time an American car company says they are going to take one of their small foreign market cars and adjust it to American tastes, we end up with something stupid like the Aveo or the Focus. I can't begin to explain how truly annoyed I am at the US market Focus.

Meanwhile, the Mini and Fit, cars not designed for the American market, are selling like hotcakes here in the US.
I don't know why, but I can't help thinking that these things aren't complete until they allow the option of layering weather on top of the maps and traffic.
Why on earth are the Germans stumbling down the path of trucks and SUVs just when the rest of the world is finally beginning to recognize that such vehicles are an awkward fit in a market seeking better gas mileage and lower emissions?
Explore the outer limits of the Edge network!
Will it ever be possible for those of us in the US to watch Top Gear on our TVs rather than our computers? I can't figure out why BBC America doesn't run it and that Discovery Channel dropped it's bastardized version so quickly. I realize it's something of a niche program, but it's bound to have more viewers than, say, Future Weapons.
Not trying to be a wiseguy here, but do police even use radar anymore in most places? I live in Maryland and all I ever see is laser.

BTW, someone mentioned that, once a radar detector goes off, the police already know how fast you are going. NOT TRUE - radar signals bounce around quite a bit. Your detector can get a hit before the police get a reading of your speed. Laser, on the other hand, has a very narrow beam. Once your detector picks it up, the police are already on to you!
These just look dumb. Clunky too. Why Microsoft doesn't have the xBox 360 hardware folks design all of their hardware is beyond me.

Speaking of dumb, the sight of the windows logo on our remote will strike fear into my wife's heart. My Harmony is as foolproof as a McDonald's cash register.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
