I think this is great for mass adoption of HDTV's. Not everyone can afford an LCD BRAVIA or PIONEER ELITE. I own a 32" VIZIO for the bedroom and it looks awesome for a $560 tv. VIZIO has consistently reviewed great on SOUND and VISION mag as well as the majority of forums. It's hands down the best of the lower priced LCD's and VIZIO stands by it's product with great customer support and a zero dead-pixel guarantee.

For my main TV I would want a higher end PLASMA but I would recommend this TV to anyone without hesitation.
And that is why I don't own any HD player's yet...
Paramount has some movies I definitely want, TRANSFORMERS, BRAVEHEART, to name a few.
If NEW LINE decides to support HD-DVD as well, it's over for me. LOTR is all I need for HD movies. You can keep those crappy STAR WARS and SPIDER-MAN movies.

DAMN PARAMOUNT. This really screwed us all out of a single format.
Sh!t. No hope for a winning format. It's a dual format generation for HD movies folks so get used to it.
I hear the stampede of HD-DVD fanboi's coming.
How do you think I feel? I'm so emotionally conflicted I think I'm going to have a breakdown!

But seriously, BIOSHOCK is starting to steal some HALO thunder. Look at all the reviews BIOSHOCK is getting.
It won't matter though. HALO 3 will sell. Period.
There, useless comment end here.
I don't mean this as flame bait by no means... I am a HALO fan and I am getting the game at launch.
But after playing that BIOSHOCK demo, I admit I'm not as excited about HALO 3 as before.

Any thoughts? Cause I KNOW it's not just me.
You'll only get a month to play it until HALO 3. Why bother? (Damn my nose is growing now!)
Yeah after RROD is resolved, there will be a massive recall of ELITES due to harmful lead paint on them from our fellow CHINESE manufacturers.

All jokes aside, 360 is the shizznit!!

And so it begins... the uprising of the machines.

Prepare for war people.

Thanks douche... CABLEVISION and the added VOOM channels are much better than your OTA SD rabbit ear antenna. Make sure to upgrade your B/W UHF TV before the 2009 analog turnoff. Moron.
As a CABLEVISION subscriber, I currently receive over 40 HD channels for the magical price of FREE! Thats right, no extra $10 for HD... no extra $$ for an HD box. Picture looks amazing, AND CABLEVISION has been upgrading their network to FIBER so future HD channels are in the horizon. So much for FIOS in my area (FREEPORT, LONG ISLAND, NY)
I use to hate CABLE being a former DIRECTV subscriber. When I moved, I decided to try CABLEVISIONS triple play deal and I've been hooked since. Plus 15 down/5 up for internet is great.
For all the $$ we already pay for cable, they shouldn't gouge us an extra $10 or $20 just for HD. It really hinders mass adoption of HDTV's by REGULAR consumers.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
