This would be GREAT as my HTC Touch has finally died!
Alright, with the new Panasonic out there has been a lot of speculation here. While the Panasonic is a fine camera in its own right, it is a different beast, designed for different users (also ones with more money). The Panny is more a generalist camera than the Oly with a faster AF and pop-up flash. The Oly is more the hobbiest/professional camera with its in camera IS.

What would I like?

Fast AF would be nice.
Lightroom support - required - coming soon.
Built-in Flash? They are useless for anything except snapshots - first thing I turn off.
Focus Confirmation for Manual Focus - would also be nice.

Other than that, it is a pocket camera with 720pHD video and images quality close to the Canon 5DMII. What's to complain about?
Canon Xti - I strongly prefer the Canon over Nikon - though I shoot with both. Easier for the beginner - less button clutter.
Fixing the World Economy.

Have all of the companies and banks which screwed it up, pool their resources and sponsor more freebies on Engadget! That would fix MY economy.

Amazing.

My 15 year old just finished his first semester at High School - his first ever FINALS! He is prone to intense boughts of stress, and it was not a great scene here. His only reward was playing the Skate 2 demo on the XBox 360. It helped.

He has been trying to rent the game from the local Blockbuster, but it has been out continually since his finals have been over (he can't afford to purchase it). The stress is beginning to rise again as he has his local swim-team tournament starting this week as well as his band performance.

Would be a great thing to win!
WHO CARES!?!?

I am already using DirecTV inside Windows Media Center - with the new TV Tuner Pack and have the DirecTV tuner (or DiSH for that matter) working as a tuner inside VMC.

This is all using the software/hardware mod from Nextcom Wireless (R5000-HD). Works like a charm. VMC sees it just as another tuner and viola - HD captured, un-DRMed and free and clear!

Lovin' it! Why wait for Microsoft and DirecTV to get their act together - works perfectly TODAY!
Love my Zune.

WMA audio sounds better.
The audio "tagging" feature is great.
Love the FM tuner when I want to hear something new.

Not as slick as the iPod Touch, but a lot cheaper for a lot more storage.

Love it.
Now on sale this weekend for only $99!
First, ANY additional choices, as long as they are legal, are a good thing. From what little I know, this is entirely legal as they have not in any way "hacked" proprietary Apple hardware or software. The EULA on OSX is another matter and does not sound legit to me. Apple should not have the right to limit how you can use software which is purchased legally. Here, I believe, Apple is on shakey ground.

Second, this "may" open the doors to full-on Apple clones. I, for one, welcome this. Competition can only make for cheaper, better Macs. Right now, using this solution, I can build a MUCH BETTER, MUCH FASTER, MUCH CHEAPER Mac than Apple can. Why should this not be allowed? The only concern is that Apple will take all of its marbles and go home! (Why not they make far more on iPods than PCs.)

Third, for those that think there is something magical about the Apple hardware - do some reading and LEARN. The hardware is basically generic and designed, primarily by Intel (desktops) and Sony (laptops). The hardware is no different at its core than any PC you can buy today. If you like OSX, you should be able to run it - at least I would like to see it that way.

The problem is that Apple has evolved into a company which is exactly like the ones they used to make fun of - you know, those companies which used F.U.D. as their primary marketing technique? Look at the current Apple ads against Vista - nonsense - sorry to tell you Apple fanboys. I run both, and I can tell you that Vista Ultimate 64 so far has proved to be a MUCH more stable and reliable OS than OSX. Runs faster too. Problem was that there was a major transition to a new driver architecture which, admittedly, Microsoft handled badly. That is well over now, so get used to it.

In the end run, these are computers - pure and simple, and you should be able to have access to whatever software you are willing to PAY for. Sorry Apple - not on your side on this one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
