The blackberry is the first new model design for Sprint, which many have been waiting for, and the LG LX550 is one for the first phones with reported A2DP bluetooth profile and let alone its the fist EVDO phone with that profile. All 3 of these phones are pretty big deals and the 700p is more of the let down with no WiFi and no real advancements outside the mundane memory, camera, and network upgrades. The 650 is still the better bargain at half the price and cheaper monthly costs.
Uh, yeah. I'd like one too.
If you made 6 figures and needed a minivan and don't want an SUV, would you want to buy a Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna? Shoot, if I'm making the money I still want to be able to drive the best. The R Class is the best minivan money can buy. Strange, weird, and ugly to some, it still makes sense. I would hate to own an M5, F430, and a freaking Honda for a minivan. A R63 fits right in with that type of bunch and for the specific clientel.
There is a market for these. I would use them for travel and when I'm driving. I never walk outside, with any sun out, without my sunglasses on. More than that, my earpiece has become almost glued to my head. On travel, I wear my headphones from my iPod and I it feels weird wearing headphones, with an earpiece on one side, and sunglasses. These would be perfect for me. Yeah they could change the design but, the concept has its uses for the target market. Mock all you want, the feature set is and style has come a long way since the original Thumps.
How the heck is this thing going to work with the nano? I mean, it has the dock connector and it can physically plug in but the bluetooth adapter alone looks 3-4 times larger than the nano itself. Also, where's the love for black?
Actually, if you look at the market. As far as the large, but not gigantic SUV category you have the Escalade-American and not as luxurious features, Navigator-sluggish, QX56-Sporty and not great ride quality, LX470-to much to old, and the new MB GL coming out which should be in the $70-100k range, needless to say, way to much. For the price, the features, the size, the Audi really has something. Depending on the gas mileage and the comfort of the 3rd seat, this might be our next vehicle. We had a Denali XL and went to a GX470 because of gas mileage, ride quality, re-sale value, and feel of the pants speed. If you look at the rest of the competition, nothing really compares. Say what you want about form, function is what matters in my book, but not necessarily to the public.
Actually, reports say the next O Razr is based on the Thump 2 glasses so it will have stereo support, bluetooth A2DP support, and they are adding a mic in there some how. I'm excited. When ever I travel, I wear my sunglasses, have my iPod on and I always keep my earpiece on. For me, this device is perfect as its all 3 in one versus just a stupid earpiece on some glasses, and just an mp3 player built in. It's not said though if these O Razr's will have some built in memory or are just headphones. I figure if there's no built in memory, it will save them money and they won't charge an obscene amount for these. Here's hoping. Oh Engadget, change the picture.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
