You can differentiate between todays Germans, and the Germans who invaded most of Europe killing and torturing millions, but you cannot differentiate between the todays Japanese and the Japanese who invaded most of Asia killing and torturing millions?

Riiiiiight....
The potential of stuff like this is amazing. Have the monitoring equipment hooked up to the network via ethernet with wifi for fallback and you can monitor for changes and quickly and easily bring up the patients history.

Ask any nurse what the biggest and best change to their job has been and almost all will tell you its the IV machines that regulate the flow of an IV drip. This stuff will take nursing to the next level. *drools at the idea of RFID and barcode scanning in a tablet*
Its very simple - Vista has it hands down.

Leopard is restricted to Macs, and even then only recent macs (not everyone has the latest and greatest).

Ubuntu is still not ready for primetime, its fine for those with skill and time, or people who want something quick and simple, but for middle users who don't want to mess around just to get the simple things like screen resolution working right (cmon guys, I still have to edit text files to get my screen to display right? Thats not cool) then I say "no thanks". (Disclaimer: Ubuntu runs my home servers :) )

XP is at its end of life - lets face it, it doesn't have the support for the hardware we are going to be needing from '08 onwards. XP64 was a bit of a half baked experiment, and XPx86 cannot give you more than 4Gb ram.

Vista is going to get better - XP sucked hard in its first year before SP1 came along. Driver support was shocking, compatability was calculated by flipping a coin, and it was slow and unstable. Over time we learnt how to tame it, and Microsoft slowly ironed out the major faults. Give Vista another 6 years and see what it will become.

My own company is preparing to move its machines to Vista next year, tens of thousands of machines globally.
"Logitech" the name is already taken by another company in Japan so the foreign logitech had no choice but to use Logicool... I don't see the big deal...

(Not all Logitech products sold in Japan have "Logicool" printed on them - many are the same thing but only the packaging is different.

Geez, if the translators suck so much why don't you take your own? I'm into games and do nothing but interpretation and translation in IT and would love to get into TGS on press day. Buy me lunch and I'm all yours baby ;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
