"Jet" by Ellen Allien and Apparat

My guess is that this will be Windows-only, 5% of the U.S. market is Mac, and about 3% of that have a Windows PC anyway, and any new Mac users can install Windows with BootCamp/Parallels.

Microsoft is just trying to eclipse the iPod's Halo effect, and generate something big before Vista...

Personally I'm sold:: Xbox 360 + Zune + Vista will be cheaper and hopefully an improvement on PS3 + iPod + MacOSX

Apple didnt get to him, eBay did. Looks like a fraudulent account on this side.
Oh by the way, this is just a forum, Maxxuss isn't in the US so the overreaching laws of the Bush adminstration can't touch him.

I think this is great, another Apple vs. MS comment section. Settle down fellas, settle down. This project may just have spread some unity between our warring factions, and as such I'm sad to see it temporarily down.

We'll see what exactly broke the DMCA, but all in all, it seem like a pretty weighted attack. Apple call in the goons just as they're on the verge of a nice patch... Now just watch the hacker community respond. (not the warez or cracker... hacker community)

The fact is that NOBODY thinks they're entitled to a copy of the program, that's not what hacking is about. Ultimately it's a challenge and a curiousity, a proof of concept. For some of us, it's a chance to use Mac OS X on non Mac hardware. That's about the extent of my desire for this project.

Either way, it's just that, I'll install it, test it, use it for a while and throw it away. Just like Redhat and BeOS before it.
Has a Core Duo even hit the market yet? This does stink a little bit of trying to push incompetence onto Windows. Given the fact that XP supports about 1,000 chipsets, a flaw in a pre-release, and probably old standard Windows XP driver is unsurprising.

An important thing to not that Intel is the one pointing the finger, at a speculative issue. It's language strangely defensive, and perhaps a little bit careless for their old flame Microsoft. There is something very weird about the fact it's a dual-core exclusive issue.

The KB article is actually confidential, so there's no way of knowing if it's fixed yet. Just that both parties are aware of the problem. The reason this hasnt been prior knowledge would be that this may have conflicted with Intel's announcement schedule.

As for Mac users being more tech-savvy, why is it that only about 5% of all hardware developed will work on the platform. I know plenty of Mac users who curse and blind everytime they find out a product doesnt work. That's not savvy, that's brand loyalty.

On the whole, the most tech-savvy people are not monogamous. Mac OS X is just about the only iteration since Windows 3.11 that you can make an argument of superiority. The 1/3 of the net figure is quite hilarious, do you have a statistic analysis for that? The only explanation I could possibly think of, is the Mac heavy design industry moving from ISDN to the 'net, even that.....

As for Engadget, we get the fact you like Macs. We get the fact you use them, and probably think they're better than PCs. It doesn't mean we agree, so is it possible you'll ease up on the Mac-centric slant?
Wait... Podcasts were not an Apple invention, it's what the noveau technorati described downloadable radio shows, to their iPods.

Back in the day my PMP300 would play stuff from http://www.retrogamingradio.com/ way before Apple fanatics decided to give credit to Steve Jobs et al.

All Creative are doing is giving their customers something to use with their players seeing as iPod owners have begun to believe the rumours that Steve Jobs invented the wheel, the lightbulb, the computer, the internet . . . . . . . . . .

Chances are that this device will have the same sort of compatibility as the xbox360 with device which means it will work with nearly all players, unlike the Mac Mini. This also has a dual-core which makes it a serious powerhouse. Fingers crossed it has bluetooth as standard.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
