Be prepared never to hear the name 3Com again.
No, it stand for second issue.
Promote the man who came up with this fix to head of engineering. Your kids will learn about this historic solution in school one day.
I'm sure most people can do it but sometimes forget. The cleaners at my local car wash just throws my mats back in the car after vacuuming/shampooing them. They don't bother to latch down the driver mat. I always remember to properly latch them before driving off, however I can see my wife easily forgetting to do that. I'm sure others too in similar situations.
I don't think you can ignore safety recalls. They will perform it as per instructions next time you bring your car into the dealer for service.

When I received my official "Toyota" all weather mats for my '07 RAV4, there were clear instructions from the mat manufacturer to:

1) Not place them over any existing mats
2) Make sure the driver mats are hooked properly onto the latches on the floor to prevent them from sliding and ending up near the pedals.

Not sure if these mats were "official" or not, but they should have at least included hooks to prevent slip. If a dealership didn't place the mats according to the above, especially number 2, then that is reckless of them.
14fps on stills is just sick. Maybe this is how Nikon will get back on top in sports pro photography.
That thing boots up faster than my computer coming out of sleep!
Sounds like Honda expects this recession to last a long time. Major switches like this cannot be changed back quickly due to organizational inertia.
Not bad. I may start to look at american cars myself too soon for the following reason: expect surprisingly good products from formerly great companies that are now fighting for survival.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
