Wow, a phone killed by the packing it's in? That's a bold statement. I'll probably throw the packaging away and never look at it again. They could have sent it to me in a paper bag for all I care...

Slingplayer Mobile will work on it as soon as Sling releases a client for smartphone...which will be really soon from what I hear
Mologogo.com offers the same service for java enabled cell phones with GPS (which pretty much means Nextel and Boost Mobile phones) -- it's free, it uses the cell connection, some backend programming and Google Maps. It shows you where your friends are right on the cell phone screen

The post about tivo offering this crappy new service. Because honestly, no one cares and all we want is a new Super Tivo with 10 HD tuners and 20 cable card slots, Wi-Fi, built in Slingbox features, and an expresso maker.
Sweet, now Nigerians can spam me at an even faster rate...
I vote "Vaporware" the most over used term of the year. When a company shows off a working prototype of a product that seems to be a natural progression in their product line, not something completely radical, that product can hardly be described as "vaporware."
I'll have to wrap my accutracking.com phone in a goey substance and launch it at a passing car....sweet.....
Accutracking.com lets you load a java based software app into your *OWN* cell phone, and then you create a username and passcode and can view *YOUR OWN* cell phone's location anytime, anywhere using Google Maps. Not the same as this service, but pretty cool, and free.
PCMCIA...yawn, so 2005.
#1, Just get a NEUROS MPEG4 convertor, it does exactly what you need. The first version has a SD and CF slot, the second has Memory Stick (PSP) and CF.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
