I was going from Santa Fe, NM to Las Vegas, NV in an RV. The engine could supply power to only four outlets so I had to choose what I wanted to use. My grandparents were already using one of the outlets for charging their notebook so I was down to three. I had my 17" notebook and Xbox 360 with a 15" widescreen LCD display. I spent the whole time watching two movies on my notebook and playing through Halo 3. Some Soul Calibur or Kingdom Hearts would aid my traveling this holiday season now that I have a new DSi and PSP.
1 chance in about 16000. At least that is better than actually winning the lottery.
That would sure look nice under my Christmas tree. At least I would have an excuse to switch up to a 32GB Zune from my 2GB iPod shuffle (which is showing its age).
I would purchase one on launch day if it were $199 but $250 is way too much especially considering that a 3G 32GB iPod touch is going for $50 more. Yes, I know that the two devices are different but the iPod touch does a lot more than the PSP Go.

$250 is just too much money to spend on something that will likely be replaced in a year or two (ie the PSP 2). It looks like a great device and I like the idea of not having to haul around a case of games but people will be paying a premium for dated hardware (ie the PSP architecture is 4 years old, it is time for the next PSP hand held version and not just a spin on the current setup).

I was excited about the PSP Go's launch but the high price means that I won't be getting one and that I might as well just start saving for the PSP 2.
I will never understand fanboys. I have Guitar Hero II (for the Xbox 360) and have the following for the PS3: Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero Metallica, Rock Band (although I never use the game disc since I only have the World Tour drums and they don't work in it), Rock Band 2, the AC/DC Rock Band track pack, and I plan on picking up The Beatles Rock Band (even though I am not really a Beatles fan, it look really fun). What is wrong with either Guitar Hero or Rock Band? I have said it once and I will say it again; fanboys will be the death of gaming. Let's face it, neither platform is perfect. It is true that Guitar Hero 5 could have been DLC. However, the same can be said for Rock Band 2. That could have easily been DLC instead of a whole new game. I am glad that Rock Band 2 was released as a new game as it is the only way for me to use my World Tour drums with that franchise.

As for the video (the topic at hand), I thought it was funny. A nice take on what could have been with Activision and Neversoft. It made me laugh whenever they showed off the 8 guitar/drum mode and the comments regarding Rock Band.
I actually like one of their songs, it is called "Leader of Men." I won't hate on Nickelback for their music. Some of my favorite bands (Korn, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Cannibal Corpse, Tool) get bashed on a lot by so called "old fans" and posers. I am not about to do the same thing to a band that I don't like.

I will bash on the lead singer for his comment regarding Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Stuck up musicians don't realize that people are playing a game when we pick up these plastic instruments and hit buttons to falling notes on a screen. We aren't trying to be like real musicians or anything like that. People who say "put down the plastic toy and pick up a real instrument" might want to add "put down the controller and go out and steal a real car" or "put down the controller, purchase a Batman costume, break into an asylum, and start beating up on the patients." We aren't playing these games because we are imitating life, we are playing these games to relax and step away from the norm. The same reason why many of us picked up a controller back during the Super Mario Bros. days. These stuck up musicians need to get off their high horses and realize what Rock Band and Guitar Hero are all about.
I don't think it is anything major. Even with Rock Band and Rock Band 2; I just put each game disc in the console. I can understand why people would want to import content into one game. It makes life easier when scrolling through one large list instead of having to put each disc in and out. Still, I have a hard time paying for content that I already purchased. Kind of like buying a CD and then buying the release on the iTunes Store just so you don't have to go through the trouble of ripping the CD.

My main complaint about the Guitar Hero franchise is that it makes money from game releases as the DLC has been absolutely terrible. Rock Band makes money from the weekly DLC, I wish that Activision would get on the ball and release weekly content like that. Rock Band has been eating away at my wallet with the weekly DLC. With Guitar Hero, I am spending $60 a year. I am spending about $60 once every few months for Rock Band.

P.S. To all the people saying that this should be DLC: what makes GH5 any different than Rock Band 2? Rock Band 2 could have easily been formed out of DLC and by patching Rock Band. Instead they went through the process of releasing a whole new game along with new accessories that received slight updates. EA/Harmonix is just as guilty as Activision/Neversoft when it comes to some things. Don't act like Rock Band is a golden god while the Guitar Hero franchise sucks.
If you call "Bat Country" content that is actually playable. The least you could have done was reference a Megadeth song or something along those lines. Not some terrible, terrible, terrible band that comes out with songs that aren't even worth the torrent download time.
Back to school giveaway, that would be nice to win especially since I am back to school (BS in Civil Engineering). I am sure my life would be easier with some extra gear to aid in my education.
@David:
People were complaining about a $100 external drive that was made for a $1500+ notebook. At that price, many people thought that the drive should have been standard. This is more for netbook users who are spending $300-$500 for their computers. $80 is a lot easier to spend knowing that your computer set you back by only $400.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
