I use iPodRip er, uh, iRip. It's a great tool, and well worth the price. It's bailed me out a few times when I need to move stuff around. Didn't Steve also get his way with bulldozing some historic home or something so he could build himself a new palace? It pays to be rich and famous.
I want a model with a smaller sensor and more megapixels!
Mmm... frosting!

What was that about a USB drive?
Agree. They've got the gaming market and the novelty/farting market covered. Now lets make the platform appeal to developers who can deliver robust applications.
I am one of the few who voted for "File system not user accessible". This has always been my biggest peeve with the iPhone. If users -- and developers -- had more control over the file system, most of the other deficiencies could be overcome.

I think the lack of file system access is keeping a lot of business applications off the iPhone. I'm frustrated when I see a bunch of games added to the platform every day, and a few novelty utilities. I'd like to see something like scaled-back versions of the iWork apps on the iPhone.

File system access will be even more useful on an oversized tablet/iPhone if such a thing is produced. There would be more demand for real business apps on a device with a larger screen.
I love my (1st gen) MacBook Air. I find it very capable. However, I would not want it any bigger. If I'm going to carry a computer with a bigger footprint, then it might as well be heavier and have all the capabilities of my MacBook Pro.
The site and pix are working intermittently. Looks like Engadget's mention has overwhelmed them. Next time, don't announce it on the site... just e-mail me.
I'll wait until I can play with it at the Sony store. If I like it, either I'll buy one or I'll cut my MacBook Air in half.
I hope they approve my app "Days to Netscape".
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
