Kiddie-cam. No optical viewfinder, gimmicky touch UI, and useless resolution claims. Die evil one, die!
Logitech's Harmony remote is a long-running tragedy. The device database maintained by Logitech is full of errors and omissions, so I hope this gadget gains traction just to light a fire and give them some competition. The Harmony hardware is old school, and I can see how iPhone will have far more appeal.
"you clearly have no clue how large scale software development works ... "

And judging from what we saw with Longhorn and Vista, neither do most of the coders at Microsoft.
If I had a dollar for every breathless "breakthrough" announced by MIT over the past 40 years, I could probably buy a netbook. Don't you remember last year's "PV window coatings will power green homes!"? So practical and affordable.

I have nothing against R&D, but PR departments and popular science writers who spin it as something imminently useful are not doing us any favors.
Look at the way people have to sit at this silly thing. To touch the middle of the screen, they have to get up off of their seat and that puts a huge strain on the back muscles of a typical overweight dweeb -- talk about poor ergonomics. And what happens when a Big Gulp gets spilled?

Dammit to hell! Why oh why do you have to show the price Engadget? -- it reminds me of how much I paid for a whimpy, puny, 500 GB, non-Jasonproof drive last year.
The nerd in me says this dress requires about 24 amps of current -- I hope it's fire proof.
How many millions of $250 "pocket" TVs were sold with analog tuners? They are all 100% obsolete now. A lesson is hidden in there somewhere...
But Zune has an OLED, and I can hook it up with an XBox. What the hell does NASA know anyway? Fanbois.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
