I was going to pissed that harmonix is doing the same stupid thing as activision, but then I realized that all they're basically doing is selling song packs on disk, and including the software to play them as well. If you already have software to play them, bully! Export to the game you already have.
I know you're joking, but dancing games is one application of natal that I actually never thought about, and could actually be quite cool.

Not in your specific example, but... nevermind.
Am I the only one who is completely apathetic toward the concept of "Zelda on a Train"?
So, has microsoft stopped adding supported video formats to the dashboard. Everybody's clamoring for MKV, but I'd be happy if I could put H264+AC3 in m2ts (you know, like BR movies do), and have them play without converting.

Oh well, a guy can dream...
I've had nothing but trouble with my HDMI audio passthrough on my 4850. Never shows up as supporting more than stereo channels, unless its dolby digital, which gets passed through just fine.

I've been waiting for it seems like years for a software driver to encode EVERYTHING into AC3 on the fly. Including video games. So far, FFDshow and AC3 filter only work with specific audio formats, and not audio produced by games like Guild Wars or any non Dolby Digital source.
Last gen, Nintendo only :lost" in graphics to Microsofts Xbox. And in that case, the performance was so close it was a wash.

Unless you think the PS2 had the best graphics last gen. And if you do, then you clearly never played a Gamecube.
You'd be correct.
Unless the software on the disk was coded from the very beginning to look for a downloaded patch in wii memory or sd card, it is impossible for a wii game to be patched. The reason why is because, unlike the PS3 and Xbox360, the wii doesn't actually run an OS behind the software. Software has direct access to the hardware, vs PS360 where the software interfaces with the OS, which talks to the hardware.

In computer terms, Think of PS360 as Windows XP, and Wii as Windows 3.1/Dos 5.0. There are some advantages to the Wii way (such as all the bitchin homebrew which exists soley because coders have direct access to hardware), but it comes with disadvantages too (no patching for disc based software).
Do yourself a favor, take 20 minutes one evening, and play it. Frisbee is my favorite, and the wife and I love to play co-op kayaking.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
