Woo perfect timing, I need a new 360 that has HDMI to get 1080p to my new TV (it won't accept 1080p over component).
This is exactly what I need. I already have a hard drive, headset everything. I just need the HDMI.
I guess I better buy me some WoW gold before the prices go up ;)
I modded my orginal xbox and got banned from xbox live, so I don't think I'm going to be trying that with my 360 this time around :)

Sorry Mike, it is illegal to break the copy protection :)
No wonder I pwn on xbox live so bad.
Well it says "The files will be stored on the hard drive encrypted" so unless Vista has really changed the file system you will be able to copy these files wherever you want, but they will be encrypted and I would assume therefore useless (until someone breaks the encryption).

My comments got cut off :( anyway, when someone releases something that plays both Blu-ray and HD DVD for < $200 I'll buy that because there are some movies I want to watch that are Blu-ray only.
I agree with Big Sam, I think HD DVD, Blu-Ray and online distro are all going to own market share. With online distro being the smallest of the 3. I have the Xbox 360 HD DVD player combined with Netflix to get all the HD DVD's I want. And I think the picture quality combined with the new cool menus was worth the $200 for the player.
But once someone releases something for
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
