What a joke... they could have saved twice the weight just by stripping the paint job.
Absolutely tasteless.
I love the strap Canon makes. This seems like a cool idea if you don't make much use of the vertical grip.
One less zero in the price and I'd be all over it.
It is huge. It uses a giant piece of paper on top of a matrix of buttons and lights.

Nifty product... price, not so much. It's not like they have high R&D costs to recoup.
Suspend the corporate tax for one year and then return it later at a more reasonable rate comparable to our global competitors.
This would be awesome!
Why would anyone want a rubik's cube that can't be solved with a butter knife?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
