CCP has already said that L4 mission agents will be migrating to LOWSEC< so no more easy going L4's especially since ot many Lowsec is more dangerous than nullsec

Nov 6th 2009 4:12PM im soo looking forward to black prophecy over jumpgate, jumpgate just feels like the wow equivilent of space... while black prophecy seems to have the loor, graphics and goodies to make me ponder a second space MMO aside from eve :)

Nov 2nd 2009 2:11PM this would be so awesome even if they could lock it in at 720p i'd be happy as hell...
but begs the question of why, when an acer revo with single core and ion with 1gb ram and 120 drive is only 200$ (god i wish the dual core was that cheap so it could do HD Flash as well, if it was i'd buy it in a second for a xbmc MC) all you'd need is a remote control.

Oct 29th 2009 2:25PM ya you really need to get past the tutorials, and into a player corp, the first few PvE missions and tutorial are truely boring as hell, eve has a nasty new player experience, the last expansion helped it a little with the epic arcs, but supposedly dominion will improve it a little more, but i think until we see Incarna release we won't see a 100% improvement in New Player Experience.

Oct 29th 2009 2:23PM Actually its closer than you think, Dust 514 is secheduled for late 2010 release to consoles, and CCP has confirmed Incarna (walking instations new name) will be released BEFORE dust goes live, it will have all the general goodies, NPC's, businesses, corp offices, bars games etc... but it wont have any form of fighting or anything like that, YET, they say since its based off the same system that dust is getting it will be a possibility in the future.
Also planetary exploration has been on the drawing board for future as well i hear, and as well as planetary interaction (sort of like simcity via planets)

Oct 9th 2009 6:07PM hate to bum you out but most of those things are derived originally for current research projects in weapons, the gun especially is a more advanced version of the XM8 http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/infantry/rifle/XM8/XM8_carbine.png
The tank, i saw something slightly similar but it was part of a stealth tank design that was designed to make incoming shells have less chance of direct hits i forget what it was called...
and the warthog was derived from one of the Light Strike Vehicle designs...
the fact is almost all games even scifi ones, get their inspiration from modern/cutting edge prototype designs....

Oct 9th 2009 6:02PM LMAO, ya true, but if your enemys are sprawled out then you might be nuking them all lol, and considering the contents of said planets (ores etc) are worthwhile, it sbetter to surgically kill your enemys vs wasting the riches the planets have to offer... Although if i was really a pod pilot and i saw my dust marines loosing, i'd end the fight with a nice "withdrawal troops, and turn the planet into glass with nukes" plan.
But ya, we'll never really see the end of humans foot fighting, until of course we have readily available terminators :)
